It happened because India is a ''Secular Country''

Recently, the jewellery brand Tanishq, owned by Tata group launched an advertisement which showed a beautiful relationship between a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. It limns the ceremony of baby shower. Daughter-in-law allude her mother-in-law that this ritual is not followed in their family. Mother-in-law gifts her jewellery and replies that this ceremony is to keep daughter happy, treating her daughter-in-law same as her daughter.

Despite all, Tanishq had to take down the ad from all the social media platforms because of ‘social media backlash’. People said it promotes ‘Love Jihad’ and also that the ad was ‘sexist’.

In a country where people still don’t realise what a ‘NO’ means, riots have become a common thing then inter-faith marriage, peaceful coexistence of Hindu-Muslim obviously offends us because communal harmony does not exist.

‘Divide and Rule’ was a strategy used by British government because of the growing unity under the spell of NATIONALISM. But now even our politicians are using it just to fulfil their political agenda and conspiracy. They put a small spark and its done, they know people will start fighting, this is what happened during NRC act. That was the time when people should have talked about budget of the country, but they didn’t.

Unemployment, highest number of internet shutdown, more than 163 million people don’t have absolutely no access to clean water to drink, India ranked 94 out of 107 countries on Global Hunger Index 2020, deficit of 6 lakhs and 2 million nurses are the topic we should be arguing at or get offended at, but apparently a fiction advertisement is offending us.

In our childhood we were taught हिन्ददेशकेनिवासीसभीजनएकहैंरंगरूपवेषभाषाचाहेअनेकहैंहिन्ददेशकेनिवासीसभीजनएकहैंरंगरूपवेषभाषाचाहेअनेकहैं”, but it seems rather than understanding the song we just crammed it and now we have forgotten it.
