On August 6 1945 – August 9 1945, something happened which changed the history, Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear attack. After this attack, it is cited that after the death of somewhere 129,000 and 226,000 peoples ended the world war ll. After this attack of the USA on japan, USA was there to sign the treaty consolidating that japan will not have its army and attack on japan is an attack on the USA too. So there is article 9 in the Japanese Constitution which came in force on May 3 1947 which prohibits government explicitly from legislating in certain areas. The ban is also intended to prevent the Japanese government from bypassing the courts and denying criminal defendants the protections guaranteed by other parts of the Constitution.
Moreover, recently the breakthrough change has been observed in Japan, recently japan after years of research and work unveiled a new naval submarine amid flaring tensions with China, and it is approaching, named 'TAIGEI' which means whale. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd builds the 3,000-ton Taigei or giant whale. However, it has been made but will be put into service and will be commissioned by March 2022 to Japan self-defence force. The most innovative part of the project is that Taigei is that though the submarine is working on diesel engine power. However, there is the usage of lithium-ion batteries which give extra power to submarines. Not only this the last two boats in the previous Soryu class (which taifei belongs) were completed with a similar configuration, which is claimed to provide increased endurance at high speeds when submerged and period inside water. Charging is also said to be quicker and battery life longer compared to lead-acid batteries, which have to be repeatedly recharged by running the diesel engines, which was a significant cause of loss in energy. Besides, the lithium-ion cells are less bulky and have reduced maintenance requirements and enormous energy Providence.
Ironically Japan is on fifth in military Ranking 2020 despite having article 9 and embodied in their Constitution. This reveal of lithium-ion battery submarine will boost the military and help in strategic planning against China. May possible that in 2+2 India and Japan talk we may have more conceptualization on a particular topic for strengthening and India can eventually partnership with japan on this concern, which will again be a good impact on India as recently China and Russia were in the new mysterious submarine project which may impact adversely on a particular region. Moreover, as we know, Japan is the coastal country, so to defence themself from an agitating country like china, they had to increase the maritime force so. Therefore, Japan in 2010 launched National defence program guidelines to expand it is submarines fleet from 16 to 22, and now they have achieved the ultimate goal that 22nd submarine the giant whale.
Hope this particular renovation change brings positive impact on security concerns.
