'' KAPILA'' Kalam Program

Recently, India's human resource minister (Education minister after NEP) Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' virtually launched the "KAPILA" kalam program for intellectual property literacy and awareness. This project is named after India's most beloved ex-scientist, ex- president, author and teacher honorable A.P.J Abdul Kalam sir, not only this the name kapila also make honour to our ancient culture as we have one of greatest saint 'Rishi kapila' and it's also an acronym of 'kalam program on IP literacy and awareness'. This program can be vital for innovation, research, entrepreneurship and updating start-up culture. As we know that NEP is packed with multiple interventions not only at primary or school level but also at higher educational level so that this culture of innovation and research can harmonically and systematically be established in our country's institutions. Our current education system fails because it's based in swallow and vomit system (students just remember and paste it without any critical or rational thinking) and limits us to lower order thinking skills, it fails to deliver problem solving skills, on solution creation, on building innovative products which is very crucial for upgrading generations to live in upgrowing global competition. which need not only to remember what's there but also to understand, then to analyse, then to implement and then have to create and to create is at the top of the pyramid of education. But as per today's condition we are stucked at first and base level only that is remembering, the current education system is just confining us to the bottom two layers that is; remembering and understanding and not elevate Students to go to higher level. So by this KAPILA initiative goverment is targeting to spread awareness about the importance of patenting an invention, to lead India towards self-reliance via educational programs which will be helpful in implementation of various initiatives of innovations so that the essence of talent from students can be utilised to fullest. In this awareness program the ministry has decided to celebrate a dedicated week as 'Intellectual Property Literacy Week' which will be organised from 15th to 23rd October. And via this multiple awareness programs will be organised to create awareness about the system and the importance of the process of applying for a patent so that it helps to protect the inventor from copying by applying certain rights to the inventor.

Patent of inventions will lead India towards Self-Reliance as said by honourable education minister.

So hope this brings some optimistic change and era of development will take it's hope at pinnacle.
